To introduce myself, I am the First Vice President this year of the Milwaukee Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and also the webmaster for our Division Web site at www.aohmilwaukee.com. I'm writing to try to get some information related to the Dublin Irish Festival and your division's participation in its activities, as the Milwaukee Division plans for its continued participation in Milwaukee Irish Fest.

I can't tell from your Web site the extent to which the Patrick Pearse Division participates in the Dublin Irish Fest, and any information in that regard would be appreciated. Just like under the Brehon Laws, Milwaukee Division Brothers consider hospitality an unwaivable obligation, and our Hospitality Area at Milwaukee Irish Fest is always well attended by AOH members and their families from throughout the country. Many past Milwaukee Irish Fest attendees have come from Ohio. I personally would like to attend the Dublin Irish Festival, and perhaps other our members would as well. Any helpful information or advice, beyond that already available on the Dublin Irish Festival Web site, would be appreciated.

If you know of any AOH members coming to the Milwaukee Irish Fest, please encourage them to check our Web site and blog. We'll include lots of information about our hospitality area (available on Friday and Saturday of Irish Fest) that those attendees would find helpful and of interest. I would be happy to correspond with them as well.  Thanks. Doug Smith

Christ's Coming!

I have made my heart clean tonight
As a woman might clean her house
Ere her lover come to visit her:
O Lover, pass not by!

I have opened the door of my heart
Like a man that would make a feast
For his son’s coming home from afar:
Lovely Thy coming, O Son!
